Day goes by fast

So quickly becoming the past

Lurking ahead

Tomorrow

The future

Involved in it,

Is what we call nurture

To do good and seek Allah’s pleasure

In time that we borrow

Our aim is not to dwell in sorrow

Yesterday’s mistake

Learnt tomorrow

Understanding the essence of time

Time is not yours or mine

Not to keep, can’t be stored

It comes and goes

Really, there’s no time to be bored

Mind aches to be fed on time

Thirst for knowledge

Is what you will find

Keeps you from wasting away…
